Heatherwood Happenings

Annual Meeting
March 24, 2012 • 4PM
Outdoors on Scot Lane (near 1508 Scot Lane)
Bring Your Lawn Chairs!

Message from Your Heatherwood HOA President

$120.00 HEHA GIVE-AWAY!!! PLEASE READ ON!!!
Greetings HEHA Residents, from your President, Rufus Lewis!

The time is approaching to elect 2012-2013 HEHA officers for the positions of: President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary.

We also need volunteers for

  • Social Committee Chairperson and committee members
  • Architectural Committee Chairperson and committee members
  • Block Captains

The Treasurer, Warren Stevens, has served for two consecutive years and, according to our by-laws, MUST be replaced by a new volunteer.
We are seeking a complete turnover in leadership, and we request that all volunteers come forward to be placed on the ballot for elections. Committees and Block Captains will be selected after the elections.

Elections will take place during our annual meeting on March 24, 2012 at 4PM, outdoors on Scot Lane (near 1508 Scot Lane).
Our Treasurer, Warren Stevens, will be coordinating the election committee. He requests that all volunteers for the HEHA board make themselves known to him by submitting a short e-mail, including a brief personal history and background, to Stevens828@att.net.

Annual dues ($120.00 per household) will be collected by the Treasurer at the meeting. If you can’t attend the meeting, dues can be mailed HEHA, P.O. Box 811, Keller, TX 76244-0811.

AS AN ADDED BONUS, THERE WILL BE A RAFFLE THIS YEAR. A RAFFLE TICKET FOR A YEAR OF FREE HEHA DUES WILL BE ISSUED TO EACH DUES-PAYING RESIDENT AT THE MEETING. IF YOUR NAME IS SELECTED FROM THE TILL AT THE END OF THE MEETING, YOUR DUES CHECK WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU. RESIDENTS MUST BE PRESENT TO BE ELIGIBLE.

As usual, HEHA revenue is down, due to lack of neighborhood participation. We would prefer to recover the shortfall through full participation, rather than a dues increase. The drive for 100% participation cannot be overstressed, as we are a VOLUNTARY association with the LOWEST DUES of any neighboring association, and we have NOT HAD A DUES INCREASE IN OVER TEN YEARS.

Thanks for your time and participation!
Rufus Lewis, President, HEHA

Refurbished Bulletin Board!

If you've driven out the entrance to our community you'll notice the newly restored bulletin board thanks to Luc Hye. Join me in saying "Thank You" to Luc!
Please note: Do not tape notices on the plexiglass as it will cause
damage to the glass. If you need to put something on the bulletin board you can contact Lisa Warren, Social Chairperson or Bob Congdon, President of Association who have the keys to unlock the panel of the Bulletin Board.
